AUT International Foundation Certificate will commence their studies at Norton College. The foundation programme is delivered for AUT University by Norton College. Norton College is managed by ACG.
Standard Entry
A two trimester programme which requires students to have the equivalent of IELTS 5.5 on entry.
The majority of students upon programme completion transfer to the University without the need to provide the universities qualifying IELTS - they have just achieved 65 percent in English within the programme.
This is a highly successful programme - with each intake over 90 percent of the students who completing the two trimester course receive an Unconditional Offer of Place from AUT University.
Successful students who join in April 2008 will be able to commence at AUT University in Semester One - 2009 Standard Entry Tuition Costs $14,000.00
Extended Entry
A three trimester programme which requires students to have the equivalent of IELTS 5.0 on entry.
Extended Entry students study one trimester equivalent to a Pre Foundation course prior to joining Standard Entry. Successful students who join in April will be able to commence at AUT University in Semester Two
2009 Post Foundation Entry
This programme is for students who have not achieved the NCEA admission
requirements from Year 13 for entry into a Bachelor Degree at AUT University. The programme involves 14 weeks of tuition in one trimester
and enables students who successfully complete the course requirements to
obtain admission to AUT University.
In essence students will complete the final trimester of course work of the AUT International Foundation Certificate. The results the students receive will only enable them to obtain admission to AUT University.
If a students wants to receive the guaranteed pathway to AUT University and achieve entrance requirments which are accepted by all NZ Universities they will need to complete the two trimester AUT International Foundation Certificate.
